Upgrade Process

Hi all,

When upgrading from Version 3.1.145 to the latest 3.3.15 what should be the full process to make it as safe as possible. From start to finish. No 1+1 in this scenario. Running on proxmox.

Hello,

When making a major upgrade from like your suggesting:

  1. Review release notes
  2. Download new licesne version from our customer dashboard
  3. Download the latest release and validate it
  4. You need to do a OS update (Yum Update)
  5. Migrate your DB on upgrade (enable) in the web UI.

FYI When I went from 3.1.139.5 to 3.3.13.146 each unit in 1+1 had to be rebooted an extra time to get traffic flowing.

Hello Hd99,

It isn’t always required, but we have seen this behavior, it has to do with the new upgrade and migration sync timing, sometimes we require a reboot to confirm the upgrade is complete. You should see the in the web ui prompt at the top of the browser.
