Unable to Install ProSBC 3.3.5 on Proxmox and Baremetal

Hello everyone,

Looking to learn ProSBC. I’ve had a terrible weekend trying to deploy the SBC on Proxmox or bare metal. I have followed the the Proxmox install guide here

The install always fails. I go through the motion, provide license, standalone, set ssh and web user passwords and start the install process. The install animation goes on and on non stop. I have left it to run for hours without any success. I have previously installed FreeSBC three years ago on the same Proxmox hardware but was overwhelmed as I was just starting out in VoIP. The newer version just fails to install.

On bare metal, I’ve installed on two separate hardware (Lenovo minis) and in both instances, the box never gets an IP address. If I try to set ip address using tbchangeip, I get an error along the lines of unknown ’unit’

The entire weekend has been spent trying to get this going without success.

Talk about the devil! One last “Hail Mary” attempt and I managed to get it up and running. But it looks like I’ve sorta messed with my licensing. I get an error about No valid host or adapter license.

So I’ve got 5 FreeSBC licenses, the oldest expires in 2023. In trying to get this new instance up and running, I had created a few licenses. Now that I have managed to stand up an instances, I would really like to get things going, following Luc’s YouTube training videos. Is there a way to get in touch with support to help fix this? Or am I on my own?

Hello Gothic, the installation and configuration can be done by yourself using the documentation and online videos or you can request the help from our support team to help.
In this case, we charge professional services and we can help you to set it up.
