After upgrading system from 3.1.145 to 3.3.5.36 When we use the Test Call function using pretty much any of the audio files, upon answering, we just hear a series of staticy sounds. Specifically the demo.wav file that has always worked in the past seems to be broken.
When a live call is placed, the audio seems to be working. Not sure if there is a new special format, or if there is something that needs to be done to get these working again.
I did download the file and play from my local computer and it played correctly. I renamed and uploaded and it still had the same problem.
Maybe this was overlooked in the new version. We will try it.
You can also send a TBreport to support email and mention the issue - maybe we will see the error in the logs.
Called Number: my cell or office phone etc. in this case 11 digit dial including 1.
File/Tone to Play: demo.wav
Terminate call at end of file: unchecked
Call duration: 0
Record: unchecked
No Advanced settings set
Click Place Call
Answer call on phone
Hear staticy mess
I get the same thing no matter which file/tone I put in there, and no matter which NAP, calling and called number. Also the binoculars don’t seem to do anything so to find other files I use the Manage audio files button and just use the file paths as listed in that interface. Usually I just keep it at demo.wav.
I will try and get some time to test this in my lab this week. I will test with out latest build 3.3.15.72 and let you know what we find. Sorry about the late reply.
are there any news concerning the Test Call feature?
In may case (version Version: 3.3.14.100, Standalone host) the call itself (incoming or outgoing) works and e.g. my cell phone is ringing and I can take the call. The procedure I do is exactly as phideauxx has written in the step-by-step procedure.
The problem is that the e.g. demo.wav is not played. Instead I hear my own voice loud and clear.
Do you know any trick how to get the demo.wav played?
