Test Call Audio Not working correctly after upgrade from 3.1.145 to 3.3

After upgrading system from 3.1.145 to 3.3.5.36 When we use the Test Call function using pretty much any of the audio files, upon answering, we just hear a series of staticy sounds. Specifically the demo.wav file that has always worked in the past seems to be broken.

When a live call is placed, the audio seems to be working. Not sure if there is a new special format, or if there is something that needs to be done to get these working again.

I did download the file and play from my local computer and it played correctly. I renamed and uploaded and it still had the same problem.

Maybe this was overlooked in the new version. We will try it.
You can also send a TBreport to support email and mention the issue - maybe we will see the error in the logs.

I tried it in the lab and I get the same results - I opened case TB-5591 to fix this.

I updated to 3.3.14.100 and am still experiencing the same issues with Test Call Audio.

Hello,

Can you give us a step-by-step procedure of how you are testing this in your lab, we will try and reproduce it on our latest version.

Thank you,
Support

  1. Click Test Call on Left Menu
  2. Mode: Generate outgoing call
  3. NAP: One of our outbound calling NAPS
  4. Calling Number: one of our DID’s
  5. Called Number: my cell or office phone etc. in this case 11 digit dial including 1.
  6. File/Tone to Play: demo.wav
  7. Terminate call at end of file: unchecked
  8. Call duration: 0
  9. Record: unchecked
  10. No Advanced settings set
  11. Click Place Call
  12. Answer call on phone
  13. Hear staticy mess

I get the same thing no matter which file/tone I put in there, and no matter which NAP, calling and called number. Also the binoculars don’t seem to do anything so to find other files I use the Manage audio files button and just use the file paths as listed in that interface. Usually I just keep it at demo.wav.

Hello,

I will try and get some time to test this in my lab this week. I will test with out latest build 3.3.15.72 and let you know what we find. Sorry about the late reply.
