proSBC as KVM guest using SRIOV interfaces for LAN/WAV with VLAN tagging and static IP

We are using RHEL 8 as KVM hypervisor. We would like to use proSBC as KVM guest.
We will be using SRIOV VF (Intel X540-AT2) as network cards.
We will be assigning static IP’s to LAN/WAN interfaces using tagged VLANs.

Is this environment supported on the proSBC?

I see the following warnings:
Warning: Using a static IP address may not work on some virtualized environments.
Warning: Using a vlan tagged interface may not work on most virtualized environments.

Using terms like “may” is so vague. When we are using the KVM image, system knows what environment it is and it should mentioned if it is supported or not?
In what setting someone may assign ip address to SBC via DHCP?

Is there any document with guidelines for KVM hypervisor requirements and optimizations?
