We have planned maintenance on our site and the VMware machine is excepted to be down for 3 hours. Is there a procedure to shut down the SBC prior to the maintenance window?

You can shut down the SBC using SSH with the ‘shutdown -hP now’ command.

And to bring the SBC up, you can simply launch the SBC via the VMWare management interface.
