License seed changes on every reboot — ProSBC 3.1.135.7 on AWS m5.large

Environment:

  • Product/release: ProSBC 3.1.135.7
  • Platform: AWS EC2, m5.large, us-east-2a
  • Instance: standalone (not HA)
  • Product key: VTB-S2JY-5WG6
  • Interfaces: mgmt0 (MAC 02:23:58:cb:16:f1, PCI 0000:00:05.0) and voip0 (MAC 02:bd:fc:75:ab:8b, PCI 0000:00:06.0)

Symptom:
The license seed changes on every reboot with no changes.

Evidence — three consecutive reboots (no changes), all producing different seeds:

  • Boot 1: FFF0A92DEB544DE839C4F880B785FAA6B1EABDB821088128A024212D286C80DF496454E718C8F50781F1656F
  • Boot 2: 57A68FB0B74952292FF40930996DE9CAAD1D3CBA8100088084100A000734AA29F11BF74B898010EC7654A4E6

You are correct. Every time you reboot it will change the license seed. Don’t reboot (wait); send me the following.
