Initial Install - Web Page - Internal Server Error

During initial setup in the Web GUI, one of the first steps is defining your interfaces. Will the interface be LAN/WAN, MGMT, etc. When I designated an interface, I had multiple NICs selected as MGMT and 1 NIC selected for LAN/WAN. As a result, the web GUI only showed errors:

Internal Server Error

undefined method `’ for nil:NilClass

Solution:

  1. Reboot to allow Web GUI access
  2. Reconfigure the NICs.
  • 1 NIC as LAN/WAN.
  • 1 NIC as MGMT.
  • All other NICs, set as unused.

The initial configuration of the network interfaces in the SBC is very important.
The management port needs to be accessible after configuration.
The MAC addresses need to match the correct interfaces.
Also vlans are important when configured on vmware/kvm.
