Is it? I got an email saying no new licenses will be issued going forward. One of the biggest attractions for me was the fact that it provided an enterprise grade SBC with limitations, that a newbie could learn how to use. Was it getting abused? Many many new folks getting into the ITSP space are going to miss out on a great learning tool if FreeSBC gets withdrawn eventually.
Some orgs give a developer’s license to solve that problem. Maybe there’s an opportunity there if FreeSBC is retired.
That will be great! I cannot over emphasise how being able to play with FreeSBC in my homelab has made me so much more confident tackling SBC issues at work.
Hello gothic,
Thank you for your inquiry.
TelcoBridges is no longer making FreeSBC licenses generally available.
We recognize the learning value many users found in FreeSBC. To continue supporting hands-on learning and evaluation, we now offer a 30-day free trial of ProSBC with full feature access for every new user. Please also note that ProSBC is available at a low cost relative to other carrier-grade SBCs ($1.25/session), and is available in 1-year subscriptions with an unlimited number of seats/users per license, making it an ideal tool for training.
Customers with unique circumstances can apply to receive a FreeSBC license by contacting sales at sales@telcobridges.com. These requests will be granted on a case-by-case basis.
We appreciate your support and thanks for choosing ProSBC.
